![]() Skyryse Raises $300 Million and Hits Unicorn Status at a $1.15 Billion ValuationSkyryse is a pioneer in aviation technology, developing SkyOS, the world's first universal operating system for flight designed to automate flight safety and simplify aircraft operation. The company's core mission is to eliminate human error in aviation by providing a standardized, intuitive interface that can be integrated into any aircraft, making flight as safe and accessible as driving a car. Skyryse has officially joined the unicorn club after closing a Series C funding round of over $300 million, bringing the company's valuation to $1.15 billion. The round was led by Autopilot Ventures and Fidelity Management & Research Company, with significant participation from ArrowMark Partners, Baron Capital Group, and the Qatar Investment Authority. Skyryse, headquartered in El Segundo, California, United States, was founded in 2016 by Mark Groden and Mitch Adler. "Skyryse is the only aviation technology company to reach this milestone while maintaining its independence and offering a technology for dual-use in defense and civilian markets," the company wrote in the post. "The new capital will enable the acceleration of its FAA certification, while also supporting continued scaling of its SkyOS technology across aircraft platforms, including the world's largest fleet of helicopters, the Black Hawk." |
